As a business, Lodge Brothers were keen to attract more people into their network of 40 stores and build awareness of the broad range of other services that they can offer, outside of the times when customers traditionally would use a funeral director.
The specific goal for the project was to increase the awareness and uptake of the company’s growing pre-paid funeral plans and legal services department.

Screenspace proposed a package of high brightness professional displays for use in store windows, along with our Freedom digital signage players. The cloud-based Screenspace CMS enables Lodge’s marketing department to remotely control the content that plays out on their entire network of displays, thus maintaining the very high standards of presentation that the business prides itself on.
The use of the Wi-Fi enabled Freedom player meant that there was virtually no disruption during installation. The ability to easily create and publish engaging content using both video and static images was felt to be a key factor in helping the company to engage more readily with potential customers and persuade them to come through the door for a conversation.
The customer has reported an increase in footfall from walk-past customers which has helped them to build awareness of their range of services. The digital signage has also built a perception of the brand as a modern business, albeit one that is steeped in tradition and family values. Following the initial trial in 15 stores, the company now plans to roll out digital signage to the entire estate.
