The Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham is a 166-room luxury hotel overlooking the historic city centre of Coventry.
The hospitality market in the East Midlands is highly competitive with a number of well-known hotel brands competing for the luxury end of the business and tourism sectors. A key objective of the management team at the Ramada has been to drive footfall to its highly regarded food and beverage offering, The Queens Road Mediterranean Kitchen.
The customer wanted to install a screen in the lobby, adjacent to the check-in desk and in sight of guests entering and leaving the hotel via the main entrance. The purpose was to raise awareness of the F&B offering in particular, but also to welcome important business users to the hotel. The hotel’s marketing agency would prepare a mixture of promotion specific adverts and generic templates that the hotel staff could customise and re-use.
The customer wanted to use an existing screen for the installation. By adding a Screenspace Freedom digital signage player, an expensive and disruptive installation in a highly visible area of the hotel could be avoided.
Using the cloud-based Screenspace content management system, the manager and his team are able to schedule relevant content well ahead of time so that the signage updates automatically and promotions are displayed at the most relevant times.
Awareness of the hotel’s food and beverage offering among guests has improved and this has driven a steady increase in the percentage of overnight guests making use of the Queens Road Mediterranean Kitchen.
The team at the hotel were very quick to make use of the available features within the Screenspace content management system. Regular content updates have created a vibrant and dynamic sense of communication with guests that reinforces Ramada’s reputation for service with a unique style.
